Ayurvedic Consultation
I am Dr. Krishanthi Keerthirathne, an experienced Ayurvedic practitioner with over 15 years of expertise, including my work at the National Ayurveda Hospital in Sri Lanka and a year as a Consultant at an Ayurvedic Clinic in Swansea, UK. I hold a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), a Postgraduate Diploma in Panchakarma (specializing in detoxification and rejuvenation therapies), and advanced training as an MD Trainee in Kayachikitsa (Ayurvedic General Medicine).
I specialize in personalized Ayurvedic consultations, offering tailored treatments for various conditions, with a strong focus on natural healing through holistic approaches like herbal medicine, Panchakarma therapies, diet, and lifestyle guidance. I have successfully treated conditions such as migraine, asthma, and ulcerative colitis and aim to develop comprehensive Ayurvedic treatment protocols for these chronic conditions.
I have been successful in treating conditions like Stress relief, Hair falling, Skin Disorders, Sciatica, Stroke and Neurological Disorders, Gastro Intestinal Track Disorders, Migraine, Brain Tumors, Arthritis, Asthma, and ulcerative colitis, I might further specialize in developing comprehensive Ayurvedic treatment protocols for these and similar chronic conditions.
Considering my experience and qualifications, I could also contribute to the field by developing training modules or workshops for new practitioners, especially focusing on case management and the practical application of Ayurveda in diverse clinical settings.
My Approach to Optimal Treatment
During the Comprehensive Initial Consultation (1 hour), I will gather a detailed clinical history to identify root causes, assess changes in body systems, and review any current investigations using both Ayurvedic and Allopathic methods. This will enable me to initiate the first line of treatment while addressing the underlying issues.
Follow-Up Visits (30 minutes each) will focus on ongoing assessments and treatment adjustments. I will apply authentic Ayurvedic principles, critically evaluating changes in the patient’s condition and monitoring recovery progress.
My aim is for Short-Term Recovery and Drug Minimization, achieving rapid healing while minimizing unnecessary medications. Finally, I will prescribe treatments that enhance immunity and promote holistic health and longevity.
Preserve the Purity of Ayurveda: A Call for Proper Guidance
In today’s world, Ayurveda is gaining global recognition, but this popularity also brings the risk of commercialization. Many businesses prioritize profit over the true principles of Ayurveda, offering treatments without a proper understanding of the traditional texts. As a result, individuals may undergo therapies like Abhyanga (oil massage) and Sweda (herbal steam) without fully grasping their indications, potentially leading to avoidable complications. This jeopardizes their health and fosters fear of these beneficial therapies. To ensure your well-being, I encourage everyone to consult qualified Ayurveda practitioners who have a deep understanding of the ancient texts. They can recommend treatments tailored to your unique constitution and needs, helping you avoid the risks of improper therapy while preserving the true essence of Ayurveda.
